With over three decades of experience in the janitorial industry, Mark C. is a seasoned professional who has risen through the ranks to become the Vice President of Operations at Imperial Service Systems. His journey is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and deep understanding of the commercial cleaning business.
A Hands-On Journey to Leadership
Mark's career began in 1994 when he was working as a janitor at Jewel Osco. After that, he joined Imperial Service Systems as a Day Porter at the Motorola building in Arlington Heights. This hands-on experience gave him a foundational understanding of the day-to-day operations and challenges of commercial cleaning. His duties included maintaining restrooms, managing waste in cafeterias, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the facility.
His hard work and commitment did not go unnoticed. He was soon transferred to a similar role at US Robotics in Des Plaines, where he continued to hone his skills for about a year and a half.
A Leader in the Making
Mark's leadership potential was quickly recognized, and he was offered a supervisor position at McDonald's Corporation's headquarters, specifically at the Hamburger University. After three years in this role, he was promoted to Area Manager back at Imperial, where he was responsible for overseeing 30 buildings.
From there, his career trajectory continued upward in the janitorial services industry. He was promoted to Assistant Operations Manager, then to Operations Manager, and eventually to Director of Operations before assuming his current role as Vice President of Operations.
